Terms of Use

Effective: 27 October 2026 · EULA · Apple App Store · Google Play

These Terms of Use are the agreement between you and the provider of the Berosh app:

Beroshapp – Halil Zınar Düzgün (sole trader)
Johann-Strauß-Straße 12, 82008 Unterhaching, Germany
E-mail: info@beroshapp.com · Phone: +49 172 5740559
("Beroshapp", "we", "us")

They apply when you use the Berosh mobile app. You accept them when you create an account or buy a subscription.

1. Who can use Berosh

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher). If you are under 18, you need the permission of a parent or legal guardian to buy a subscription.

2. The service

Berosh is an AI-powered meal planning and nutrition tracking application rooted in Kurdish, Anatolian, and Middle Eastern culinary heritage. Features include AI-generated personalised meal plans, menus for a guest table, fridge scanning, recipes from a photo, recipe search, a cooking assistant, an AI nutrition assistant (chat), food logging by photo, voice or barcode, a food diary, nutritional tracking, a weekly report, and a cultural calendar of seasonal dishes.

The app is available in two tiers: a Free tier and a paid Premium subscription. Feature access varies by tier and is shown within the app.

3. Subscriptions, purchase and payment

Note for App Store reviewers: Berosh offers an auto-renewable Premium subscription processed via Apple In-App Purchase and Google Play Billing. Subscription title, length, and price are displayed on the paywall screen before purchase. Links to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy are accessible on the paywall screen and in app Settings.

3.1 Who you buy from

You buy Premium through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Depending on your country, the store either sells to you in its own name (for example Apple Distribution International Ltd. in the EU, the UK, Türkiye and India, or Apple Services Pte. Ltd. in Korea) or collects the payment on our behalf as our agent. The store's terms apply to payment, billing, refunds and family sharing; these Terms apply to the app and the service. In all cases we provide the service, support and updates. Subscription management is handled via RevenueCat; we never see or store your payment card details.

3.2 Premium, free tier and free trial

Berosh Premium unlocks advanced meal plans, detailed nutritional analytics and expanded premium content. The price, the billing period (monthly or annual) and, if offered, the length of a free trial are shown on the purchase screen before you confirm. The Free tier gives access to core features at no charge.

3.3 Renewal and cancellation

Premium renews automatically for the same billing period (one month or one year) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. A free trial turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. You can cancel at any time:

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Premium until then.

3.4 Your right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days (in Brazil: 7 days). For purchases through the App Store or Google Play, use the store's withdrawal or refund function:

You can also tell us by e-mail to info@beroshapp.com; we will help you through the store process. Store refund policies do not limit your statutory rights.

3.5 Price changes

We may change the price for future billing periods if our costs change (for example for AI providers, hosting, store fees or taxes) or when we add substantial new features. We will tell you at least 30 days in advance in the app or by e-mail, with the reason. Where the law or the store requires your consent, the new price applies only if you agree in the store's or the app's consent screen; if you do not agree, your subscription ends at the end of the current period at the old price. In all other cases you can cancel before the new price applies.

4. AI-generated content and health information

Berosh gives general nutrition and cooking information using artificial intelligence (language and speech models from OpenAI). It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. AI outputs can be wrong or incomplete: check ingredients, allergens and amounts yourself, and talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before major changes to your diet, especially if you have a medical condition or an allergy. Photos, recordings and messages you send to AI features are processed by OpenAI on our behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy. Our liability follows Section 9.

5. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. Intellectual property

The Berosh app — including its name, logo, design, cultural food database, and all content created by us — is the intellectual property of Beroshapp and is protected by German and international copyright law. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

Content you create within the app — including meal entries, custom recipes, personal notes, and recipe reviews together with any photos you attach to them — remains your property. This content is private to your account and is not shown to other users. You grant us a limited licence to store and reproduce it solely to provide the features you use, for as long as you keep the content; the licence ends when you delete the content or your account. You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the rights to it, and we may remove content that violates Section 6.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process your data.

9. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act and under any guarantee we have given.

For slight negligence we are liable only if we breach an obligation that is essential for providing the service and on which you may regularly rely, and then only for the damage that is typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract. Otherwise we are not liable for slight negligence.

Your statutory rights if the app or a digital service is defective (for example under sections 327 ff. of the German Civil Code) are not affected. We provide updates, including security updates, as required by law.

These limitations also apply to our representatives and assistants. They do not apply where the law of your country does not allow them (for example the guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, or Japan's Consumer Contract Act for intent or gross negligence).

10. Changes to the service

We may change or stop individual features if there is a valid reason — for example new technology, security, legal requirements, changes by our AI or store providers, or improving the app — and only at no extra cost to you. If a change noticeably impairs your access to or use of Premium, we will tell you by e-mail or in-app message in good time beforehand, explaining the change, and you may cancel free of charge within 30 days of the notice or of the change, whichever is later. Changes to the Free tier are announced in the app.

11. Ending the contract

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time (see Privacy Policy §7). Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription — cancel it in the store (Section 3.3). We may suspend or end your access for a serious breach of these Terms, normally after a warning; we may end a free account with 14 days' notice. Sections 7 (Intellectual property), 9 (Liability), 13 (Applicable law and courts) and 14 (Apple and Google) survive the end of the contract.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when features, providers or the law change. We will show you the new Terms in the app at least 30 days before they take effect, with the changes highlighted. They apply only if you accept them. If you do not accept, you can keep using the app under the current Terms until your subscription period ends, or cancel. Changes that are only to your advantage, or that the law requires, apply without your consent; we will tell you about them.

13. Applicable law and courts

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you habitually live.

If you are a consumer, you can bring proceedings against us in Germany or in the courts of the place where you live; we can bring proceedings against you only in the courts of the place where you live. Mandatory rules on jurisdiction remain unaffected.

We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

14. Apple and Google

If you downloaded Berosh from the Apple App Store:

If you downloaded Berosh from Google Play: Google's Developer Distribution Agreement and the Google Play Terms of Service take precedence where they conflict with these Terms on payment matters.

15. Additional terms for your country

These additions apply if you live in the country named. Where they conflict with the rest of these Terms, they prevail.

16. Final provisions

If a provision of these Terms is invalid, the rest remains valid and the statutory rules apply instead. These Terms are available in several languages; each language version is binding for users of that language.
